Electronic Submissions (this information starts on page 380 in the course

District Inquiry (this information starts on page 442 in the course
material packet). The Illinois State
Board of Education uses what they call the IWAS system of having public
schools input information about beginning drivers and getting their
instruction permits. Also the IWAS
system is used for schools to report student driver education
completions. Finally the information
reported by the public schools into the IWAS system is used to reimburse
them for students who complete the classroom and on-street driver education
program. At the public school where
you are working with a Master Driver Education Teacher, interview the
person who is responsible for inputting student information into the IWAS
system (this maybe a driver education[s] or administrative assistant). Have them show you how they work with the
IWAS system. Learn as much as you
can about the IWAS system from the person.
Write a 1-2 page paper on how the system works and what you learned
from this experience.
